Jo and Leisa are twin sisters. The girls are Jamaican by birth but currently reside in Birmingham, England where they used to teach in various secondary schools.

They share several passions such as travelling (together they have visited at least twelve countries in the past few years), craft, crochet, laughing (every time they meet up it’s like a comedy session!), cooking, helping the elderly and frugal living.

Considering their humble roots and upbringing in Linstead, Jamaica, they are pleased with all of their academic achievements and their other accomplishments.

Life has had its ups and downs for the girls but they prefer to see the glass as half full, rather than half empty; living life while squeezing lemons and making the best of every situation that comes their way.

The girls enjoy having a good time (alcohol-free and drug -free of course) and have worked hard to carve out the life they now live with passion, humility, and gratitude.

Practising Christians, the girls believe in being cheerful givers to those in need. They support charities such as, British Red Cross, ADRA and other charities.

The girls never forget their roots and to this day remember the days when as early teens they went to school without lunch most days and upon returning home from school would go cheerfully to the market to collect foodstuff from their mother and take it home to prepare the most delicious and spicy meals ever for the whole family to enjoy.

Those days taught them that money doesn’t make you! Since then, they’ve been living frugal lives by following the 6rs: reduce, reuse, recycle, repair, repurpose and refuse.

Between them, the girls have three young adult children who are their world! They especially like the fact that their children are focused, decent and hard-working.

As bloggers, Jo and Leisa have been sharing frugal living tips with their readers across 27 countries and counting. They are actively involved in social media and do respond to readers’ comments and questions. They are most proud of their presence on Pinterest where they have over 12 thousand pins on over 100 boards filled with ideas on:
