Being Featured for Being Frugal on Mrs Mummy Penny

This post may contain affiliate links

No, this is not a post about being a show-off! This is one about being recognised for what you do. And we are of course proud to be featured on Mrs Mummy Penny. Do you even know who Mrs Mummy Penny is?

This week we were featured on one of the biggest money blogs in the UK! We were featured for being frugal on Mrs Mummy Penny. My bit was a bit embarrassing, but still. I know it will help to inspire others to be more money savvy than I have been.

Before I get into that…recently, during the week of the most recent royal wedding, our blog was featured as the Blog of the Week in The Sun. Yes, The Sun newspaper.

This is no little feat! lol. It actually did put a smile on our faces when we saw that our influence was being spread a little farther afield. We also got some lovely comments out of it. Some people have even said that they will now make a conscious effort to do more by way of frugal living now!

I wonder if Meghan knows that we were featured in the papers during the same week of her royal wedding. Ok, I’ll pull my head back in and jump back off the cloud.

This week’s feature

Back to my question. Do you know who Mrs Mummy Penny is? She’s a big UK money blogger who herself has been featured all across the media. She’s the co-author of the book Blogging Your Way to Riches and she has even made TV appearances where she spoke about finances etc.

I like that people are willing to share their knowledge about investing and the best investment platforms to use so that you make the best out of your money.

On Tuesdays, she shares debt stories and mine happened to be featured this week! Eek! Can I just say, yes, it’s embarrassing but I am at the point where if someone else can be helped by my stupidity, I am okay with that? You can read the story here. My aim really wasn’t to embarrass myself but to help others to wise up about money matters. I realise that even some business professionals are not money savvy.

We are so grateful to Mrs Mummy Penny for taking the time out to hear our story and to feature it on her blog! Joleisa’s looking up!

What’s been your biggest claim to fame? Do you hope to be featured on TV one day? Let’s hear all about it.
