Word of the week
We have a feeling that most who join in with this linky would have heat, or hot or something related to that as their word of the week for this week. Well, whilst it was a big part of our week too, we have chosen to use ‘lively’ as our word of the week.
YouTube Live
As you may know, we have a growing YouTube Channel and we’ve come to realise that a good way to gain subscribers and have a good rapport with them is to go live. So that is what we have been doing a lot of. It also helps to go live ’round about the same time each day as your subscribers get to know it and expect it. We must say that we have been loving it.
The garden is alive
Our garden this year is resplendent with colour! The plants seem to know that there is much in our world to make us sad and so they are doing their best to overcompensate. They sway beautifully in the light breeze and those that have scents permeate the atmosphere so beautifully.
Of course we have bees, butterflies and birds of all sorts. We feel so blessed, especially since we are able to bring in fresh flowers on a weekly basis. With the heat that’s on recently the indoor flowers sometimes don’t last a week but we are able to add those to the compost and get new ones for the house. I find that even when the petals fall, particularly those on the kitchen window sill still look rather cute, as in the video below.
Stratford was lively
We had the chance to spend a few days this week in Stratford Upon Avon. To say it was lively is an understatement. To be fair, when we were in Jamaica and studying Romeo and Juliet, the teacher did try her best to get our imagination running wild with her description of Shakespeare’s birthplace.
Well dare I say, that was rubbish! Just joking of course but Stratford is alive and buzzing! It’s a beautiful town with so much to offer!
Butterfly farm
Perhaps the liveliest part of this week were the butterflies at the Stratford Upon Avon Butterly Farm in. We ourselves got lively too as we tried to prevent them landing on us. That aside, we must say we enjoyed the visit immensely and loved relearning things we once knew like the life cycle of the butterfly!
Children would love a visit to this farm and so it comes highly recommended if ever you are in this neck of the woods and have children.
Lively Olympics opening ceremony
As we write this post we are eagerly awaiting the liveliest experience we are going to have for some time…..the Olympic Games. We love these events immensely and especially love watching the opening and closing ceremonies.
The bursts of sound, colour, and symphony will be amazing. We just know it and can’t wait to experience this lively event.
So over to you. How would you sum up your week? Thanks to Anne for allowing us to join in with this link each week.

I wanted to watch the opening ceremony but I missed it thanks to having a seizure just before it started. I was well enough to watch the highlights later and I loved it. I always watch it and remember when I used to watch it with my Mom so special memories. I’m glad you had a lively time in Stratford, it really is a busy place. We went for a day and couldn’t fit everything in. I’ll go to the butterfly farm one day.

So lovely to have lots of colour in the garden at this time of year. Sounds like you had a wonderful time in Stratford. The butterfly farm sounds like an amazing place to visit – am definitely adding it to my list for when we are next in the area. #WotW

I am so happy that your garden is so alive! I love all the colors and scents of summer flowers too.
Going live on YouTube sounds so scary. I’ve never even created a YouTube video that wasn’t live, but one of the reasons is the fact that, as a blind person, I probably won’t be able to manage video editing software. With my blog, I like the ability to edit my content before it goes online. I applaud your courage for going live!

Well done for embracing live on YouTube. I’m not brave enough to try it. I like being able to edit what I put on our channel lol. Stratford Upon Avon and the Butterly Farm is on my bucket list. We were actually booked to go there just before lockdown happened. Hopefully, we can plan our return soon. Your garden full of flowers sounds lovely #WotW
