Awesome top tips for Adults to Make Life Easier and Cheaper

This post may contain affiliate links

Don’t you agree that being an adult is harder than you thought it would be? One day you go from being a carefree teenager with the world at your feet, and the next day you are struggling to pay the bills and eating candy for breakfast, not in a good way. Trying to figure out your life during adulthood is incredibly hard and so many people end up failing to make the impact they want on the world.

I remember always wanting to be a teacher when I was a child. Alas, teaching hasn’t turned out to be what I expected!

But remember, everyone else is the same, you’re not alone If you are an adult looking for any and every tip to solve small problems and make life a tad easier, here are some life hacks you need to know.

Make life easier and cheaper by following some simple hacks for everyday living. I like tips 4 and 5 the most. What would your top tips for a cheaper and stress free life be?

Broken your key? Use superglue

Imagine the scene: you’ve had a really long day at the office, been stuck in traffic on your way home and now it’s pouring it down with rain. All you want to do is get home, grab a shower and order yourself a curry. You put your key in the lock the same as any other day and turn, but instead of turning, it snaps. You call your other half to let you in the house and now you have a key stuck in the door; what do you do? Well, all you need is some [easyazon_link identifier=”B00OAAUAX8″ locale=”US” tag=”joleisacom21-20″]super glue[/easyazon_link] on the end of the top of your key (which isn’t stuck in the door). Add a dollop of glue to the end, match the ends of the key and you should be able to pull it out no issues.

Stressed out? Stretch it out and make life easier and cheaper

Stress is part and parcel of being an adult, unfortunately. When you come into adulthood you are inevitably going to have days when you want to punch everyone you see and curl up on the sofa with a tub of ice cream, and that’s ok. One thing you can do when you are stressed and have been for a few days is some yoga and light stretching. Put on some calming music or follow an app like FitStar Yoga and just think about the movement of your body as a whole. It will reduce stress and make you feel stretched out ready to tackle the rest of the day.

Along the same line, you can also engage in hobbies that later can earn you some cash.

Need medicine? Go online

Staying fit and healthy is not only a good financial plan for the long-term, but it also helps to reduce stress. It’s a good idea to adopt a healthy lifestyle so that your time and money aren’t being spent unnecessarily at the doctor and or pharmacist. Natural herbal treatments like merengue, ginger, and honey, can’t be pushed enough!

If you have a chronic illness or you need medication for an injury, a huge annoyance to you can be going to the doctors and chemist to pick up your prescription. It takes time out of your day and also takes time out of your work which is never helpful for someone living a hectic life. However, you can go online with Simple Online Pharmacy and get your medicine within minutes, and have it delivered to your home address. Less stress, less time and less effort.

Interview worries? First and last

Interviews are something which absolutely no one enjoys. If someone tells you they like doing interviews they are probably lying. Interview stress and worry are always rife in the world and you can often feel yourself thinking the worst before you enter the space. One of my worst nightmares with interviews is being so nervous that I totally miss the question! Asking them to repeat it feels so cringeworthy!

Just remember that you have to make a good first impression and a good last impression too. The rest does matter, however, the first and last is what will stick in their minds during the decision making process.

I always start off with a compliment like “I really like your tie!” Then that puts everyone at ease. And I end the interview with something like, “Have a great weekend”.

Can’t reach your candle wick? Use spaghetti

Now that the glorious daily dose of sunshine is disappearing and summer has left to make way for colder seasons, we are starting to get out all of those little autumn and winter items in the home again.

One of the items in particular which we will be using is a candle. If you still have large jar candles from last year with only a little bit left in them, don’t throw them out to buy new ones! It can be a nightmare trying to reach the wick with your lighter without burning yourself. Luckily, if you light the end of a spaghetti noodle, you can easily reach in without getting your hands burnt! You can thank me later.

Packing for a trip? Roll it up

I learned this one while packing for Jamaica recently. And it saved me paying for an extra piece of luggage!

Packing for any type of trip is always an exciting time because it means we are going somewhere new ready to explore different things. You can think about packing more efficiently for your next getaway by using a rolling method rather than folding. Folding your clothes will only serve to add crease and take up loads of space, so you are much better off rolling your garments up and piling them in the suitcase.

Need a healthy diet? Meal prep it and Change Your Life

Trying to maintain a healthy weight and a good diet as a busy adult can be hard to handle, especially when all you want to do is grab a bowl of pasta at the end of every day. However, there is one way to keep you on track all week and ensure that you are able to eat healthy and nutritious meals- meal prep. If you can spend an hour on a Sunday afternoon making all of your meals for the week, you save time during the week and also save energy on cooking different meals. They will be ready to go and all you need to do is heat them up!

Workout novice? Use YouTube

Staying fit and toned is another one of those things which is harder than it looks, and we often end up neglecting our bodies as a result. However, if you are new to working out and you don’t want to spend money on a gym, you can watch workouts on YouTube for free and build up your strength while watching the TV.

Hate Ironing? Use straighteners

Ironing is a pain in the neck and no one truly enjoys the job. If you hate ironing your clothes or you simply don’t want to get up and get out the iron for one garment, there is another way. Straighteners are essentially double-sided irons, and you can use your hair straighteners to iron your clothes and style your hair afterward with no fuss!

Save your money and time for the weekend and relaxation. Cut down on stress and spending with these handy little tips and hacks. Enough said!
