Buying car Tyres and Staying Within Your Budget

This post may contain affiliate links

Buying car tyres and staying within your budget is easy if you follow a few simple rules.
The first point in this piece probably does not seem all that helpful: make sure your budget is set to a sensible level. Being aware that there is no such thing as pound shop tyres can help you to set a realistic if low, budget for your new tyres!
Having said that, when it comes to tyres, our city Birmingham has plenty of places where very good products can be bought for near wholesale prices – here are some things to keep an eye on when looking to come in under that modest budget that you have set.

Needs not Wants

While it is always nice to be able to have the best, it is not always practical. Look objectively at your driving and see if you really need premium tyres, or if just regular ones will suit. If your commute is very short and easy, budget tyres might even fit the bill for your vehicle. After all, even budget tyres must meet the industry standards of quality and safety, and often a large amount of the price difference between premium and budget tyres is the amount that has been
spent on advertising and marketing the former!

Balance and Align

One thing that should not be skimped on is the fitting of your tyres. Even if you buy budget tyres from an online supplier, you should take your vehicle and the new tyres to a qualified tyre-fitting service, where they will be properly fitted before being balanced and aligned to give you the smoothest possible ride and give your tyres the best chance of lasting well. You can get your tyres properly inspected or replaced at Plume Tyres Birmingham.

Check the Costs

Speaking of buying tyres online, do remember to factor in the cost of this fitting though – garages and service stations sometimes include fitting in the (slightly higher) price of the tyres if they are bought and fitted as part of a service, for example, but they will charge a fee to people coming in just for tyre fitting. It is best to shop around before you buy your tyres, finding a fitter who will not push your bargain tyres into going over budget.
When buying premium or budget tyres, Plume Tyres has a good supply of qualified and professional tyre fitters who will get you back on the road, on your new tyres in a surprisingly short time – and well in budget too
