As a blogger, your primary goal is to attract views to your blog and engagement on your posts and social media. This post is designed to provide you with strategies to achieve this, ensuring that your well-crafted content doesn’t go unnoticed.
We quite enjoy being bloggers as we share our life with others and we get to see what others are up to too. This weekly linky with Anne and others is our favourite way of linking up with other bloggers and we are so disappointed when we don’t get to check-in.
Our word of the week is Blogger.
Blogging isn’t just about writing these days. It’s a highly competitive sector, especially for those who want to turn their blog into a viable income stream. But to make money, you need to be visible, people need to know you, and you need to be able to connect with others through your writing. Your role as a blogger is not just about creating content but also about contributing to and shaping the blogging community.
This post will look at ways you can promote yourself both online and in person to help you increase your visibility as a blogger.
Attend Events
Attending blog-specific events or networking events in your sector can be a game-changer. It’s a great way to get your name and blog on other people’s radars. Whether you’re a tech blogger, a car blogger, or a sports writer, these events can provide valuable opportunities to meet others in person and engage face-to-face. While you might not be invited to brand events or promotional opportunities just yet, the connections you make at these events can be worth the effort.
Have Business Cards
Business cards, both digital and physical, are a blogger’s best friend. They are a tangible representation of your blog and can be a valuable asset in various situations. Whether it’s to direct potential new clients or brands to your blog for more information on working with you online or to hand out at events, high-quality business cards from an expert print shop can enhance your professional image and be extremely valuable for bloggers.
Be Social
One of the best ways to build visibility, especially online, is to be as social as possible. This doesn’t mean you need to be online all the time, but engaging with other bloggers, your readers, and brands can help increase your visibility. For instance, you can reply to other people’s posts, encourage feedback and comments on your own, and respond to them. Sharing relevant posts from others can also help get the conversation flowing and show that you’re building an active community. These are just a few examples of how you can be social online to increase your visibility as a blogger.
Collaborate With Other Bloggers
In the blogging community, there are always different ways to join up with others and use their audience for your own good. Finding these opportunities within dedicated blogger groups on social media or forums can enable you to connect with others and see how you can work together. This has been fruitful for bloggers in the past and is definitely worth considering to help you expand and get more people to visit your blog.
Automate Content
You cannot be on social media all day, every day, so for those times when you can’t be physically online, automating some content can be a great way to still share something without the need to do it manually. You can find free or paid social media schedulers and spend time uploading content that will then be shared periodically on dates and items of your choosing. However, this can take some of the work off you and allow you the opportunity to catch up once you’re able to do so.

Great advice.
I’ve been blogging for coming up 11 years and I still can’t believe people read my blog. lol I have always found the best way to gain new readers is to be sociable online and read and comment on other peoples blogs.

These are great tips for helping to increase exposure. Building community as a blogger is such a positive thing – I’m so grateful for the online friends I’ve made through blogging and I used to love attending blogging events and meeting up with people. It sounds like you’re both doing all the right things with helping to increase exposure for your blog and enjoying it as well which is also very important! #WotW
