This is one of our favourite things to do. Ever since we were born, our maybe favourite pastime has been laughing. Trust me, people, we laugh at any and everything! Even in grief, one of the best things that I personally find that helps is a comedy. If I ever feel a moment coming on, I find that I always gravitate to finding something for me to have a laugh at. I can usually find something on my phone (Tik Tok is usually good), or I put on a comedy show on the TV.
So, this week, after the last two stressful weeks we’ve had, was one for laughs. And we love laughing at ourselves too. You should see us sometimes, in absolute stitches over something one of us said or did.
Anyway, one day this week, Leisa asked Alexa a question. I can’t remember what it was but Alexa thought she said “play Despacito”. Do you remember that song that was the rage a few years ago? So as the music started, Leisa jumped up and said, ” Jo, Let’s dance”. She set her phone on the TV unit to capture us and I didn’t even hesitate, lol. It inly lasted a few seconds because we were laughing so much! In the end, I uploaded it so you and us and our grandkids can get a laugh too!
I am very self-conscious and know that we have exactly 0% dance skills but we keep it just for a laugh. If you do watch it, please give the video a thumbs up and let’s see how many views we can get on this one. Also, tell us what you think.
That same day, on our Youtube Live video, we were chatting with our subscribers about this Chocolate Banana Cake that we had made the night before. We had promised that we would cut the cake live with them so they had come to see that. Well, somehow, we pretended that we didn’t know what cake they were talking about! This was not planned at all, but this gave us such a giggle. We were in fits of laughter as each person requested to see the cutting of the cake and we kept asking “What cake?”. Man, we laughed so hard that it was embarrassing!
We pretended that our chat was going to be about the reward for being patient. Little did they know what was in store for them! We have the best little space and family on YouTube and we love it.
Another laugh that we had this week involved Halloween memes and jokes that people sent to us on Whatsapp messages. The funniest one was of a Jamaican woman’s response when trick or treaters came to her door. They didn’t expect her reaction, lol.
By the way, did anyone come trick or treating to you this year? We live in a close but we usually get a few come knocking. This year we had none! Not even one person knocked. Just as well, as we hadn’t prepared anything either. I think it might be due to the Covid situation. But I don’t blame them at all.
Update ( no laugh though)
You should know that we have been renovating two bedrooms. Well, this week things got a bit better as we got someone (thankfully) to dismantle that massive wardrobe and also remove the radiator for a bit so we could remove the wallpaper and prepare the wall. This wasn’t cheap but we are happy to get it done so we can move on.
We expect at least one of the rooms will be done by next week! So stay tuned for an update on that. We might share some photos too.
We hope you have had a good week too and please do share on RaisieBay if you do have a blog.

aww lovely word this week ladies, I’ve liked your video..good bit of twerking there 🙂 My adult daughter dressed up for Halloween and was scaring all the trick or treaters at the door. (she made a couple of the little ones cry..eek, but we gave them extra sweets to make up for it.) It wasn’t even a scary outfit, but no-one expects a six foot cat to open the door. Oh, but we did laugh, we had forgotten that we’d ordered a take out and she managed to scare the pants off the Just Eat guy! He accepted a lollipop as a sorry.

Laughing is good. You are right even at the saddest times it does help to laugh. I am glad you have had a week filled with laughter. The dancing looks like great fun and you both have great moves.
We had a lot less people trick or treating this year. I think the cold put them off. It was freezing here and blowing a gale.
I am glad you got the wardrobe dismantled and the radiator off so you can decorate. x

Laugh is such a great word for your week. Laughter is such a wonderful way to make things feel better. I love your video with you dancing along to the Alexa. Sophie often puts music on so we can get up and dance and I love it. Glad the decorating is coming along nicely too. #WotW
