Do you know the wondrous healing effects that honey have? And do you have a little patch of space in your back or front garden where you’d like to see some beautiful flowers, butterflies and busy bees? Well, you can combine all of those ideas into a lovely garden where bees will frequent and pollinate for us the plants and food crops that we can’t possibly live without.
One famous philosopher is rumoured to have said that “If our bees disappeared off the face of the earth then man would only have 4 years left to live. If there are no more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man!”
Yes, read it again! We need the bees as we can’t do without them. And here’s where the freebie idea comes in. You can apply online for some amazing looking and smelling wildflower seeds. The good thing is that they are absolutely free!
With the nice weather coming, it’s the perfect time to stock up on the seeds and even to share with a friend or two. Prepare your little plot and before you know it, you will have a lovely little piece of wild nature in touching distance. You will also be doing your good deed for the rest of humanity. Do you know how? Sure you do.
To help you out, I have done some research and put together a list of my favourite sites that give these seeds for free. Hurry though as they do not have an unending supply! Not only that, nut you need to give them anywhere from a few days to up to 4 weeks for delivery of your wildflower seeds. Click the links below to sign up for these freebies.

Last year I joined up with a few other ladies in my local community to plant a flower bed. It was called Fifty Shades of Green (got you there). It gave us an opportunity to be good neighbours and also to beautify our community. Of course that also lead to the bees finding another beautiful haven.
See if your local council has ideas for promoting the protection of areas for bees. They may have free seeds to offer too. Don’t forget to share with others.
Look out for other free offers on the Internet, particularly on social media,
Don’t be afraid to ask the owners of pretty wildflower gardens whether you can have a few seeds to plant yourself. Some plants produce hundreds of seeds and some people are looking for ways to share the love.

Okay, I’ve been threatening to do this for YEARS. I have no excuses now, right? Wish me luck!
No excuse whatsoever! And you will be helping the bees too. Big thanks and thanks for stopping by our blog.
Great tips and I have found that many gardeners are happy to share seeds and starts if you ask nicely!
Thanks Adrienne and that’s so true. A lot of our plants come from seeds that we got from others. Hope you have green thumbs too!
This is an amazing idea. I really want to bring some nature into my apartment! There is little sun here, but we have access to the roof! Trying this!
Wow! A roof garden idea must be really neat! Thanks on behalf of the bees. Have a great time planting.
I love growing flowers from seeds. Zinnias are not favorite. 🙂

Wow! I love the beauty of wildflowers! Great with free seeds!
I brought some last week for the kids to plant. He is still waiting with his watering can to see if they pop out from the ground!!!! Sssssshhhhh Don’t tell him it takes time for flowers to grow.
HA HA. WE WISH HIM ALL THE BEST WITH HIS GARDENING EFFORTS.
