Compare and Save on Your Next Broadband and TV Deal

This post may contain affiliate links

One of the things we like to do is haggle. Yup. For almost anything we want we almost never pay full price. And you might be thinking we could not possibly haggle for everything. Well, we do! Almost all the time. Did you see how much haggling we did on Channel 5’s Shop Smart Save Money?

We were recently thinking of changing our broadband supplier because for some reason the price just keeps going up and the service quality is not getting any better. Did we haggle? You bet we did. Read on.

Broadband and tv deal

Some might be of the view that we couldn’t possibly haggle over that. Well, in a matter of speaking, you can. If you just go with the first offer you hear of, well then you are perhaps paying too much.

The best thing to do is to find out what broadband and tv deals are on offer, compare the deals and choose the one which suits your needs best.

This is the best site we found for checking broadband and tv deals. The site is quite user-friendly and you can customize the search by putting in your postcode and then voila, it has done the work for you.

When I put in my postcode, it gave me a list of broadband and tv providers in my area. It showed me 26 deals that I could choose from. The prices ranged from £18 to £89 depending on average speed, the number of tv channels, initial set up cost and the term of the contract. Choices, choices, choices. There are even some that offer £100 bill credit!

How does one decide what broadband and tv package to go with? Well, you have to know what you can afford, whether there are channels you can or can’t do without, how you use broadband, whether there are kids in the home, whether you like sports or perhaps if you use the internet to work from home. The decision really is yours and you should not let any company or individual representing a company decide for you.

Is there any one broadband and tv service provider that is the best overall? No, not really. It all depends on your area, what is on offer and whether they can meet your needs for these services. It was really an eye-opener when we found the site and we would highly recommend them.

If you have been following our journey you know that we are frugal and love a freebie or two. So one of the deciding factors for us was what else was on offer that we could get for free.

Well, here are some of the freebies we saw on offer:

  • Amazon Echo Show
  • Apple TV
  • All 11 Sky Sports Channel on loads of devices
  • Amazon Echo Dot
In deciding on a provider, we also wanted certain guarantees, and the best one for us was that there would be no mid-contract price rises. I don’t know about you but I certainly find it extremely annoying when a few months down the line after you have agreed to a price and started the contract, that they tell you that there is going to be an increase! Really frustrating.  So go ahead, put your postcode in and see what is on offer so that you can make an informed decision. We are certainly happy that we have found Cable.co.uk. We are sure that you will be happy too. Let us know in the comments section below if you were able to find a better deal than the one you currently have.

As the public did tart to embrace the “cinema” experience,
the next natural progression was larger screens, so Plasma, LCD and then LED panels were introduced. Reality TV has almost taken over America’s television screens and fill family times with love. We should embrace it but at a cheaper cost, when we can find it.
