How to create a simple DIY Wall Art

DIY Wall Art

Here’s a fun and inexpensive wall art idea you can do with the kids. Its beautiful, doesn’t cost much, is not messy and I will even share with you ideas of where to get the essentials for this project. It will definitely bring a smile to your face every time you see it and are reminded that you did it yourself.

No way! This is way too easy. I tried this with some kids and got the most amazing results. This wall art is beautiful and effective. Choose your colours and off you go.

You will need the following supplies:

A canvas (Choose your size or do a set of three!)

Permanent markers (Sharpies are great but any will do)

Thin tape

These are the simple supplies you need to create a fancy DIY wall art piece

To Make this easy piece of art work:

Step 1: Use tape to randomly cover sections of the canvas

Use thin tape to cover sections of your canvas for this wall art design.

Step 2: Decide on the colours you want to incorporate on your wall art. Colour in each section between the tapes.

You will need to decide what colours you want in the different areas for your wall art.

Step 3: Remove tape and there you have a finished beautiful work of art to adorn any wall of your home or office. In this case we used thin black tape which we think added to the look of the art piece so we didn’t remove it.

No way! This is way too easy. I tried this with some kids and got the most amazing results. This wall art is beautiful and effective. Choose your colours and off you go.

Here’s another we did some years ago and you can see that we are getting better at it

You could do this simple wall art in any colour of your choice to suit your current decor

What do you think of this simple piece? We love being creative. It makes us happy. And since the schools reopen soon, we thought we better get this in so we can say we accomplished even one thing in our times of ‘freedom’. Check us out on Pinterest where you will find a couple boards full of DIY/craft ideas.

Let us know too, if you’ve tried this technique before and what result you got. Have a great week ahead.

xoxo

To create a simple DIY wall decor, gather a few wooden frames in various sizes and shapes. Paint them in a color of your choice, or leave them natural for a rustic look. Then, arrange and mount the frames on the wall, adding personal photos, inspirational quotes, or even dried flowers inside for a personalized and charming touch that reflects your style.
