These are the things on my prayer list

This post may contain affiliate links

Yes, I’m a praying person… I must admit, I don’t always remember. And especially when I’m in a tough situation that needs Higher Powers than my own, I forget. I turn to my own strength and I come out of the battle the clear loser!

So recently I decided to actually write a prayer list down that I want to focus on. I really need the strength to cope with life and I’m relying on my faith and on God to give me that strength. If you are a praying person, please join me. If you’re not, I hope that one day you will see the need for Divine strength. I’m praying for you.

I'm a praying person of faith. I always have things that I need to pray about. And my prayer is not just for me but for all my family and the wider world.

So here are the things on my prayer list… they are in categories. Please help me to pray

Self

Good health

A job that is satisfying, but allows me to pay the essential bills (I don’t want to live lavishly)

A prayerful walk with God

Family

Happiness (I’ve been praying about this one for many years)

A kind heart and spirit no matter what

Willingness to accept that things will not always work out as we planned (sometimes God has another plan)

The World

Kindness and genuine generosity (there are enough resources for all who are now living on the earth)

For those doing evil to desist, having looked at the horror being caused

For violence against anyone to stop

For the current pandemic we find ourselves in. Thankfully we are over the pandemic and are up to date with our vaccines.

Now I know that all of my prayers might not be answered the way I want them to be. I also always add to my prayer that God’s will is to be done. It’s not all about me. But I (and you reading this now, have a responsibility in your corner).

You may need to practise forgiveness and move on, such is the nature of life. I find forgiving easy these days, but it’s the forgetting part that I struggle with. Read my post about forgiving and forgetting. There is a disclaimer and a twist to that post. You’ll have to read it to see. It’s worth it.

Pray daily about the things that you cannot change knowing that our Heavenly Father sees and knows all things. Have faith too, that He will do what is best.

If you would like, share with me what you want me to pray about on your behalf. Just use the comment box below.
