Hey Hey Hey!

Happy New Year guys! We have some great news for you, particularly if you have a financial goal that you want to achieve in 2020. Come ride with us to learn more about how you can stash away some cash for a holiday, large equipment, mortgage payment, or whatever you choose. You can also earn £10 in the process!

Some of our Financial Goals for 2020

Everything we do this year, every extra penny we make, will go towards clearing our mortgages! In a nutshell, that’s it! We already shared with you the big mistake we made by not clearing our mortgages earlier when we could have. All our extra money went to helping others, filling our houses with junk and generally squandering. Now that we are more financially savvy, we will definitely not make the same mistakes!

How will we achieve this?

We are going to make use of technology that already exists so that we don’t have to reinvent the wheel! Yeah, baby! We are going to depend on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help us achieve this most meaningful of goals. We are using the Chip App!

What is the Chip App

Chip is an App that you can download for free onto your phone.

Just download Chip, type in your full name and address with a pic of your card and you’re good to go. Use promo code JOLEISA10 to get a free £10. You should get to a page that looks like this.

What does it do?

After you download the chip App, just sync it with your bank account using your online banking credentials (don’t worry, these are only shared with your bank, and Chip won’t be able to see or store them) and your bank will share your transaction data with them via Open Banking (the financial data sharing initiative set up by the government to shake things up). It is all legitimate and safe. There are thousands of people using it.

Chip fully connects with all UK high street banks: NatWest, Halifax, Lloyds, Nationwide, Barclays, HSBC, First Direct, Santander, TSB, RBS, Metro Bank and Co-operative Bank.

If you bank with one of the new challenger banks (Monzo, Starling Revolut, etc…), you can also just connect using your bank card to Chip, and they’ll start putting money aside for you. This allows you to get set up with Chip quickly and easily, no matter who you bank with.

With the intelligence incorporated in the App, it will automatically put some of our money sitting in our current account aside for us and this we will withdraw once a quarter and put towards a mortgage payment top-up.

How will Chip know how much to stash?

Isn’t it just great that you won’t have to think about it, won’t have to try to remember to set the money aside? The amount that is set aside will be based on data such as age, where you live, how much you have in your account and the super cool thing is that it will never take too much or put you into an overdraft position or debt. I think that is amazing!

Other benefits of using Chip

As well as putting aside your own money into an account that only you have access to, Chip does the following:

  • As a special promotional offer, if you sign up here, you’ll be able to earn £10 once you have synced your account and have made two sets of money stashed away for you. (remember to use promo code JOLEISA10
  • You won’t lose your money as it is in a ring-fenced account that is safe
  • You can withdraw your money whenever you want to (any workday before 5 pm or on the next workday if you request it on the weekend)

Wouldn’t you want to join us and the thousands of others who are already using Chip and making their money work for them?
