I couldn’t wait to finally be able to say that I have concrete evidence that Spring is either here or on its way! The weather has been pleasant and I have been brave and opened my bedroom window at times. It’s warm enough for me to don a coat and go for a quick walk too. Even the lawn has been cut this week! Leisa is working on a Spring welcome sign for our front porch.
The back side of this sign says “Hello Autumn” and we had it in the front porch since last Autumn. Even over the Winter, it was still there so now it will finally be changed to Spring.
We’ve been talking about getting a treadmill walking pad thing as we know we need to exercise but hate going out in the cold. This week we finally bit the bullet and ordered one off Amazon. It wasn’t expensive at all. The three of us put £45 each and bought it. It is also fairly lightweight and can fit behind the sofa. I also love that it has wheels to make it easier to move from one spot to another and is not too noisy. Watching something on the TV and walking on the treadmill will be good to keep the heart rate elevated. We have to get used to not having something to hold on to like the ones in the gym. Just a matter of time though and we will get used to it.
This week, too, Jo celebrated her first anniversary at her new job. We didn’t do anything to celebrate, but it was nice to reminisce about all the happenings related to it. The interview and job offer were in November of the previous year, and she finally started working in March!
This is still my little emoji that goes out on all emails eic. I like it. One year ago, I wasn’t sure but now I am finally loving it. Work is going well too and this week as the sunlight streams through the windows I feel my Summer mojo coming back. We went out a few times in the back garden to potter about and we are happy about that.
Hope the sun’s shining for you too. Linking with Ann and sharing our Word of the Week.
Oh, the front porch sign is ready and it’s simple but we love it.
It has been nice to have some warmer weather this week. We really need to cut our grass sometime over the weekend.
The walking pad sounds great.
Congrats to Jo on her work anniversary. I love the emoji! x

It’s good that you could split the cost three ways for the walking pad. I have often looked at them and wondered how people get on without the bar for support. You must let us know how you get on with it.
Congrats Jo on your work anniversary, here’s to many more years.
I like your sign for the porch, it’s very bright and cheery.

It has been getting really warm in the afternoons but it’s chilly today (Monday) I’m going to leave it another week before I get out in the garden. My daughter has one of those treadmills that lives behind the sofa. Everyone is welcome to use it and it often pops out for a 10 minute stroll in the living room. (But not for me) The older kids have exercise bikes they keep in their bedrooms. My son likes to bring his down in the summer and ride it in the garden. Technology can be good sometimes.

The weather has been lovely hasn’t it – although not so much today! I love your sign 🙂
It has been lovely to have some Spring weather. The treadmill sounds like a good idea and it’s great that it’s easy to store too. Congratulations to Jo on her one year anniversary in her job. Glad work is going well and that you are enjoying the warmer weather. #WotW
