Super Aldi BBQ For Under Twenty Pounds

This post may contain affiliate links

So It’s BBQ season again and in our family, we just love it! There’s something special about cooking and eating outdoors, enjoying cool refreshing drinks and fruits, a good laugh and good times with family and friends. On our street, we are well known for some epic barbeques, it’s true, as soon as there is a little glimmer of sunshine (or even a promise of some) then our BBQ is lit! Nothing beats the aroma of charcoal grilled meat! Oh, and vegetables.

We are so confident you will change your supermarket to Aldi when you see how we managed to have a BBQ with all the supplies we needed from Aldi! Want to do things the frugal way and stay within your budget? Go, Aldi!

We love to have a good showing of meat at our BBQ and although this can sometimes be expensive, we are setting out to show that it does not have to be. Budget supermarket Aldi has everything you need to have an amazing BBQ. To prove this, we will be hosting a number of themed BBQs this year. All that we need for the BBQ will be purchased from our local Aldi store which is only a walking distance from us. The first BBQ is themed ‘Come on England!‘ That is to coincide with the England vs Panama match which, at the time of writing this post, England just won 6-1. Come on England!

So, armed with our shopping list on Friday, we went to Aldi confident that we would be able to get all that we wanted for our 6 person BBQ. We did get everything from coal to burgers (2 different types) chicken and drinks and ice lollies to boot! Total cost: £20.15.

Here’s the receipt to prove it.

And here is our Aldi haul

Look at the beautiful spread that we had! It was quite sumptuous if I must say so myself! My absolute favourite was the chicken and pepper skewers. The chicken was marinated for hours with the sauce we bought from Aldi which has a dual purpose as a sauce and a marinade. I know I’ve said the chicken was my favourite but can I just say that I loved the corn on the cob too and was surprised that they were so inexpensive and big enough so that we could cut each in half!

The sun had its hat on and with the England match in full swing, we were all in a festive mood. It was just glorious. So next time the sun is out, put a BBQ on. It’s fun and it does not have to be too expensive. Try Aldi. I remember the days when I was not able to get certain products in Aldi but not any more. Everything you need to host a BBQ is available and at only a fraction of the cost. #Aldieverydayamazing.

I’d love to see you beat that price! Next week, we plan to do a Jamaican BBQ with Jerk Marinade and all! Let us know what you think. Have a great day ahead.
