Grateful is our Word of the Week (Again)

This post may contain affiliate links

We love sharing our word of the week with our readers. This word of the week has been used by us in the past and we want to use it to round up how we feel about the month of January too. In fact, if you prefer to get it straight from the horses’ mouth, we have put a short video together.

If you prefer to read or skim through it, here are the points in these short paragraphs.

Green juice

We have resolved to get on with improving our health so a glass of green juice for each of us starts off our morning. As I type this however, I must point out that the juicer that we’ve had for many years has since broken! We are on the lookout for a new one when some spare money rolls in (😆 ). If you have a good suggestion for us for one that is strong and does a good job of extracting the juice from fruits and veggies, let us know.

Reflection time

We are happy to still set aside some time right after breakfast to reflect and to give thanks for life and health and strength. We also read a portion fo the bible each day too. This helps us to learn so much more and to share with others too.

Selling Sunset etc

We are grateful for down times like at the start of the year when we were able to watch so much on YouTube and Netfix. Our favourites included some property buying series like Selling Sunset. There was also Selling Tampa and Millionaire mansions. We learned so much that we hope to continue to use as we love property developing too. We love series like those where you can actually learn something useful.

Soup lives

The title of this paragraph makes me laugh a little. What does it mean? We’ve not been enjoying the cold weather so in order to cope, we’ve made various soups. They have been delicious. Two of the soups were actually done on our live cooking show on a Wednesday. We are so grateful for our Youtube platform and space.

Reading

We are still on the quest to read more and recently we received three small religious magazines in the post. They each had little inspirational stories which made for easy reading. Grateful to have made a start on reading more.

Read our last grateful post here.

Well, that sums it up for us. We also want to thank Anne for giving us the opportunity to link with her each week.

Have you thought of finding or starting a book club to help you with your goal of reading more? I prefer a smoothie to a green juice and I use the machine to blend soup as well so it does double duty. I don’t know about juicers but I use a Nutribullet which is sturdy and a lot easier to clean than a juicer.

    Grateful is a fab word!
I hope you get a new juicer soon. The green juice sounds a great way to start your day. I keep meaning to watch Selling Sunset. Have a great weekend x

It’s always good to feel grateful. I’m more of a smoothie person than a juicer, but what a good way to start the day. Stay happy x

With all that’s been going on in the world, and in this country, grateful is not as easy as it has been in the past, so grateful is not just a word of hope, but a much needed reminder.

Grateful is such a lovely word to sum up your week and your month. Lots of positive things to look back on. I love home-made soup but rarely make it as my children aren’t keen on it. Good to have time set aside to reflect each morning and I’m glad you’re getting a little more time to read as well. Hope that you manage to get a new juicer soon. #WotW

Well done for keeping up with the green juice. I’m not a lover of drinks like that. We haven’t watched Selling Sunset yet. I’m not sure if I could cope with watching the big houses and wishing I lived in one lol. I used to love making us soup. I really need to get back into it #WotW

Grateful is such an under utilised word. I think it’s lovely that you’ve put into words this week all that you are grateful for.
