It’s Our Birthday Freebies Galore

This post may contain affiliate links

We want to start off by thanking those of you who have been with us on this journey since we started blogging.

We started blogging almost years ago now but it has only been since Vlogmas 2020 that we have seriously considered revamping our YouTube channel which we started over 4 years ago. One of the things we are aiming for as we grow older is for the ability to still be able to keep up with relevant technological advancement.

You see with this pandemic, there has been more and more use of technology and unfortunately, it is leaving some behind.  Something as joining in with a Zoom meeting seem like a major hurdle for some. And as well, sometimes we might send a little clip through to some of our older friends and they would be unable to click on and watch the clip.

We do NOT want to get to that stage! And that was our main aim for doing Vlogmas 2020. We want to spend every day of December, up to the 24th recording, editing, and uploading videos.

Every day has brought us new challenges but we have been able to meet and overcome these challenges and so far, we have not missed one day of Vlogmas. (That being said, Vlogmas Day 6 is being uploaded right now. I am pleased to say that every day’s video seems a little better than the day before, so, if anything, we are getting better at editing.

We have been sharing snippets of our birthday plans on Youtube every day, and we are aware that some of you are not subscribers of our channel, so this is your personal invitation. Join us, subscribe, and share and you will be in with a chance of being one of the lucky recipients of the birthday gifts. On YouTube is where we will share what you must do to be in with a chance.

Planning Ahead

I know some of you are thinking that 2020 has been a year that none of us could have planned for, and in part, I agree. At the same time, however, I believe that we should always put some plans in place, along with some contingencies in case the plans can’t go ahead. In planning, we should also always put in place a plan B. What is all this planning talk about?

The Gift

Today we went out in search of the perfect gifts that we will be gifting on the 22nd of December. As soon as we got to the shopping centre where we planned to hand pick and purchase the gifts, we realized that we did not want to take the risk of being in a crowded shopping centre. So after some discussion, we have decided to gift gratitude journals to 12 British subscribers. We will also be gifting to others in other parts of the world too.

Why 12 subscribers? Well if you must have a reason, it’s because December is the 12th month. So there!

Why Gratitude Journals?

During lockdown 1.0 in the UK, I was beginning to feel a bit sorry for myself. It was a dull feeling that was really dragging me down. I just had to snap out of it because I remembered that I had purposed in my heart that this lockdown was not going to get to me and cause me any emotional harm.

So what did I do? I started to focus on the things that I was grateful for, and it was a lot! The best, of course, is that I have my life! So many people have died as a result of this pandemic! It is really astounding when you really consider it.

After a few days spent thinking about the things I was grateful for, I truly began to feel much better each day. I had more energy, drive, and enthusiasm and I wanted others to feel the same.

As I spoke with people on the phone, I realized that some of them were feeling the same way I was and I wanted them to see the light at the end of the tunnel by focusing on being grateful for the things (tangible and intangible) that they had. So I bought them gratitude journals and mailed them to their addresses.

I didn’t tell anyone beforehand, I just did it! And for everyone who phoned to say thanks and that was a brilliant idea, it spurred me on to send more and more and so I would ask for them to tell me, the addresses of other mutual friends so that I could spread the love even more. And that is exactly what I did.

So if you subscribe to our channel and follow the instructions there, you could be one of the lucky recipients and you could also spread the love to your friends and families too.

See you soon!
