Little Known Things About Laser Body Hair Removal

This post may contain affiliate links

There are some little known things about laser body hair removal so come along with us to find out more. We totally believe you should love the skin you’re in and treat it well.
Over the years, laser body hair removal treatment has taken the world by storm and for the right reasons. Its effects last long in the skin of a person who received this treatment.
This is the reason why it is often marketed as a permanent hair removal solution.
Although the statement is not all that straightforward! Sure, the hair follicles beneath the target areas of a person’s skin that were subjected to the laser beam are rendered inert or damaged. But, as the human body has its unique ways of healing damaged cells, the affected hair follicles could bounce back from its state of inertness and start producing hair strands, yet again.
Hence, laser body hair removal treatment is efficient but not permanent.

How does laser body hair removal the treatment work?

Laser body hair removal treatment involves the use of carefully calibrated and high-intensity laser beams. The beams are then targeted to the patch of skin where the recipient wishes to get rid of unwanted body hair.
The laser beam used, emanating from the equipment, targets the natural pigment of each body hair strand. The beam is then directed from the tip of the body-hair strand to the root or follicle of the same.
As mentioned earlier, the overall intensity of the laser beam emanating from the equipment, although is carefully calibrated to keep the recipient from sustaining any injury, still has high intensity. A high-intensity laser beam is just a technical term to ascertain that the laser beam contains a lot of heat energy, which is enough to destroy the hair follicles of unwanted strands of body hair. This results in rendering the target hair follicles inert thus keeping the same from producing hair strands altogether, for about three weeks!

How long does the treatment session last?

For most, depending on their –
Skin type
Skin tone
The overall thickness of their body hair strands
Laser body hair removal treatment concludes only after the person has completed several sessions that could run for up to three months.

Is it a permanent solution to get rid of unwanted body hair?

No, laser hair removal treatment is not permanent as it only renders the hair follicles in the target areas of the recipient’s skin inert for a period of up to two-three weeks. After three weeks, the recipient of the treatment would need to pluck stray body hair strands, use cold-wax strips or hair removal cream.

After doing this, the recipient would need to head over to their preferred laser body hair removal treatment provider and receive follow-up treatment. This should be done religiously every six months or so!
It is best to keep in mind that laser body hair removal treatment significantly reduces the growth rate of unwanted patches of hair in a person’s body. Furthermore, the strands of hair produced by hair follicles subjected to laser beams will be thin and very weak. Hence, all a person would need to do is apply simple body hair removal solutions and head over to a reputed salon to receive follow-up laser body hair removal treatment sessions – that’s it!
I know that the are areas on my face where I’d love to have this treatment due to the growth of stubborn, unwanted hair.
