Being inspirational, however, helps to solve problems. Organizations can often get stuck in a rut. Inefficiencies can creep, and things can become set in stone.
Inspiration, however, is a great way to smash through the inertia and come out the other side thriving. Apple, Google, and Microsoft all use this type of leadership to prevent themselves from becoming irrelevant. They don’t accept stasis.

The primary role of the business community is to solve problems using scarce resources. Over the years, companies have developed highly efficient ways of doing this, but that doesn’t mean the job’s done. There’s always room for improvement.
Inspirational leaders are often able to get people to think in new and exciting ways. Something as simple as an insightful comment can inspire workers to come up with solutions that change the entire business model.

Finally, being an inspiration is a great way to boost your reputation. It is a great way to supercharge your career and get people talking about you. Whenever somebody says that you helped them to take the next step, it adds to your personal brand.
